ElementalForensic Services

Tampa Bay · Statewide Florida

Service Area

Elemental Forensic Services is based in Tampa and serves clients throughout Florida. Anna Zimmerman, P.E., investigates damage to residential property and is available to travel anywhere in the state.

Based in Tampa Bay, serving all of Florida

Forensic engineering depends on examining the property itself, so the service area is defined by where Anna can reach a site for an inspection and return for follow-up observations when they are needed. From Tampa, that means anywhere in Florida.

The same investigation, documentation and reporting standards apply wherever the property is, whether on a barrier island, inland or in a rural area. What changes from place to place is the set of conditions an investigation has to account for: storm surge exposure along the coast, karst geology in many parts of the state, and river flooding inland. The Tampa Bay page describes those conditions around the bay in more detail.

Elsewhere in Florida

Anna Zimmerman is licensed as a Professional Engineer by the State of Florida and is available to travel anywhere in the state for clients. Scheduling an investigation outside the Tampa Bay region depends on the type of loss, the condition of the property and whether other parties need to attend the inspection. Inspections can be scheduled flexibly, including on weekends when a matter calls for it.

Travel arrangements, including travel time and mileage, are discussed when an engagement is scoped and are set out in the written agreement before any work begins. If you have a question about travel or timing, ask: a short description of the location and the loss is a good starting point.

What to include in your inquiry

A short, general description is enough to begin. Please include:

  • Property location: the city and county. An exact address can be provided later.
  • Type of loss: for example wind, storm surge or flood, water intrusion, roof damage, cracking or settlement, or suspected sinkhole activity.
  • Date of loss, if known, and whether repairs or cleanup have begun, since conditions change once work starts.
  • Your role: property owner, insurance carrier or adjuster, public adjuster, or attorney.
  • Deadlines: scheduled inspections, report due dates, litigation or discovery dates, or notice deadlines under a policy or Florida law.

Please do not include privileged, confidential or case-sensitive documents in a first message. A conflict-of-interest check is completed before any matter is accepted, and no engagement exists until it is confirmed in writing.
